What Did the Study Find?
In a clinical study with 36 people suffering from chronic periodontitis, the effect of a 10-week PMA-Zeolite® application was tested. The result: the pocket depth (the depth between tooth and gum) and the plaque index (bacterial deposits) decreased noticeably. Gum bleeding also improved significantly.

It is important to note that this was an additional treatment with PMA-Zeolite® – as part of the study, the participants also received a professional dental cleaning. The positive effects of the PMA-Zeolite application therefore occurred in addition to this standard measure and underline the supportive potential of PMA-Zeolite® for oral health.
Two thirds of the participants reported that the feeling in their mouth had noticeably improved. The composition of the oral microbiome also changed positively through taking PMA-Zeolite® – the natural balance in the mouth was restored.
These changes indicate that PMA-Zeolite® can not only inhibit inflammation but also support the regeneration of the gums. The results suggest that PMA-Zeolite® can be a safe and effective way to treat periodontitis naturally.
